NinjaTrader 8 add-on
Copy trades between accounts connected inside NinjaTrader 8 — including prop firm accounts that have no outside API — with our free NinjaTrader add-on. It runs on your own PC, and your broker login never leaves NinjaTrader.
What it does
The add-on watches the accounts you tick as Leader and sends their position changes to your Futures Copy Trader account. The copier works out each follower’s order with the same rules it uses for every platform — your size multiplier, instrument mapping, stop-loss mode, daily loss limits, session windows and master lockout — and the add-on places those orders on the accounts you tick as Follower, through NinjaTrader itself. It only ever talks to futurescopytrader.com over HTTPS, and it pairs with a one-time code instead of a password.
Requirements
- A Windows PC with NinjaTrader 8 desktop installed. NinjaTrader and the add-on must be running while you copy.
- Mac users: run Windows on your own Mac (e.g. Parallels) — NinjaTrader 8 desktop runs on Windows only. Never a VPS or VPN: many prop firms prohibit them, and NinjaTrader's own rules require trading from your own device.
- Your prop firm or broker accounts connected inside NinjaTrader (Control Center → Connections).
- A Futures Copy Trader account on this website.

Sign in to download the add-on
The download is for signed-in users. The add-on is NinjaScript source code that NinjaTrader compiles on import. Test it with a Sim101 or evaluation account and one micro contract before using it on an account that matters.
Install and connect
- Sign in and download the add-on from this page. Keep the .zip file as it is — don’t unzip it.
- In NinjaTrader 8: Control Center → Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On…, pick the downloaded .zip and confirm. Restart NinjaTrader if it asks you to.
- Open the add-on: Control Center → New → Futures Copy Trader.
- On this website: Profile → Security → Devices → Connect NinjaTrader. Type the 8-character pairing code into the add-on window and press Pair. The code works once and expires after 10 minutes.
- In the add-on window, tick the accounts to use and set each one to Leader or Follower. Accounts you don’t tick are never read or traded.
- On this website: Trade Copier → build a copy group with those accounts (they appear under the login “NinjaTrader <your PC name>”), then press Start copying.
If the connection drops
The add-on checks in every 5 seconds. If it can’t reach the website for more than 10 seconds, no new positions are opened on your followers; closing and reducing are never blocked, and a leader on the same PC keeps having its closes mirrored. The website’s live panel shows “NinjaTrader disconnected”, and Profile → Security → Devices shows each PC as Connected, Stale or Disconnected. A big Stop copying button in the add-on stops everything on that PC at once.
Prop firms that work
Only firms whose current rules allow copying between your own accounts are listed. Firms change their rules — check yours before you copy.

Desktop app — coming soonTopstep's own rules allow connecting third-party tools to Trading Combine and Express Funded accounts (Live Funded accounts can't trade through the API), but also require all trading activity to originate from the trader's own device (no VPS/VPN/remote server) -- this app's cloud engine can't meet that for TopstepX today. Matches this app's own TopstepX connector status (registry.py's projectx_gateway, 'Desktop app — coming soon') so the two never contradict each other; re-enabling needs the planned local desktop executor.

Troubleshooting
NinjaTrader is not running
Copying only happens while NinjaTrader 8 is open on that PC. The website shows the device as Disconnected and pauses new positions until it’s back.
An account says “NOT connected in NinjaTrader”
Connect it in NinjaTrader’s Control Center → Connections. The add-on can only read and trade accounts NinjaTrader itself is connected to.
The pairing code is refused
Codes work once and expire after 10 minutes. Get a new one: Profile → Security → Devices → Connect NinjaTrader.
The add-on shows Disconnected (red)
Check the PC’s internet connection. While disconnected for more than 10 seconds no new positions are copied; closes and reductions from a leader on the same PC are still mirrored. Optional setting (off by default): flatten followers if disconnected longer than N minutes.
Something else went wrong
Press Send diagnostics in the add-on window. It attaches the add-on’s log (trades and errors only, never passwords or keys) to a support ticket in your account.
